12th place and some more valuable World Ranking points in Jiayuguan/🇨🇳. Not really the place I came for but nevertheless still happy about the performance. After a great swim and coming out of T1 in second place, we just visited the beautiful city of Jiayuguan during our 40k bike ride. Starting the 10k run in 6th position, I had to slow down due to the altitude and lost some places in the third lap. However, I managed to run fast the last lap and could finish on the 12th place – 2min behind the winner. Thank you China, it was an experience I never forget.
