First ITU World Triathlon at Cape Town/South Africa for Bob Haller. Due to very cool water temperatures, the olympic distance’s swim part had to be shortened to 750m (1 lap). [Official water temperature was 11.9°C, air temperature was 23.3°C]
After a good and steady swim, Bob ran into T1 after 9:04min, only 30 seconds behind world class athletes like Brownlee, Mola or J. Gomez. After lap3, a chase group had caught the tail of the leaders, which brought almost all the field together including Bob Haller.
With an excellent running time of 32:56min, Bob ranked himself onto 32nd rank overall in the world class field, 3 minuntes down to winner Alistair Brownlee [GBR].
WELL DONE AND CONGRATULATIONS FOR THIS PERFORMANCE!!
