Dublin Marathon

On Sunday Oct 27th, Guy Theissen and Marc Matgen raced the Dublin marathon (Third time in a row). On a chilly but beautiful sunny day, 22,500 athletes took up to the streets of Dublin for the 40th edition of the local Marathon, making it the 4th biggest marathon in Europe.

The course was mostly hilly throughout and one long drag between miles 21-22 that can break your heart aka heartbreak hill . It’s not that it’s very steep, it’s just very long and gradual and occurs at a point in the race where you might experience some difficulties.

Guy ran the entire race at a steady pace finishing in 3h45’39” (4741st) while Marc crossed the finish line after 4h40’07” (12736th).
