Great news from the IM Barcelona this weekend. Adrien Rossignon qualified for the Ironman World Championships 2023 in Hawaii by finishing 6th in his age group M25-29.
After 59:17min in the swim, a 4h50:55 after a flat but windy bike segment and a marathon in 3h32:19, Adrien crossed the line in 9h29:25 on 26th rank overall out of 1829 triathletes and took 6th rank in his age group. Adrien is the first athlete of our club qualified for the WC 2023 in Hawaii, in addition it will be his first participation in this event. Congratulations for your achievement.
Sylvia Birkle Duro was a bit unlucky as she took the 4th rank in F35 not allowing her to grab the ticket to Hawaii. But the race was very solid as she finished 12th female overall in 10h48:56 with a personal best time over this distance. (1h15:36 – 5h30:09 – 3h52:49)
