National Duathlon championships in Ehlerange

Very good performances by our youngest athletes at the national duathlon championships in Ehlerange/Belvaux on sunday.

In the mixed Youth-B race (2003-2004 – 1,8 km / 5,7 km / 1,2 km – 5 finisher), Noémie Ries managed to took the national duathlon title in her first race for X3M. She finished in an end time of 26:12min. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

In the mixed Kids-A/Youth-C race (2005-2008 – 1,2 km / 3,8 km / 0,6 km – 29 finisher), Luca Seidel finished on 3rd step of the national podium and 4th overall in Youth C male. Finn Schiltz was 4th on national ranking and on 6th rank overall. Noa Langer finished 2nd female in Youth C. Leo Weishaar finished on 11th rank overall and 6th in Youth C male. Ben Langer took 3rd rank in Kids A male category and placed himself on 13th rank overall.

In the mixed Kids-B race (2009-2012 – 0.4 km / 1,2 km / 0.2 km – 12 finisher) not counting for the national championships, Enya Possing managed to take the overall win in 5:25min.

Respect for these performances to all of our young athletes!


In the elite field (81 finisher), Claude Lucas was again one step down of the national podium taking very strong 4th rank in the national ranking. Claude finished the 10 km – 40.2 km – 5,5 km in 2:06:37 missing the 3rd rank by 1:20min only. National title goes to Jerome Ewen from Team Snooze, the race was won by former belgian X3M athlete Francois Reding.

Gavin Hodgson finished the race on 17th rank and 5th in M40 in 2:12:37 followed by Yves Koch on 25th rank in 2:17:04, slightly handicaped by muscular cramps. Carlo Feltes finished on 56th rank overall and 5th in M50. Sonny Eschette finished on 2nd national rank in age group F45, only 1:10min down to 1st rank. Claire Metzdorff had to quit the race after the first run.
